Welcome to DOUBLE CREEK FARM!!
|
We have a small farm in the central part of the beautiful state of ALABAMA, (200 acres) mostly bottom land. We have two creeks on the property, hence the name "Double Creek". We raise registered Simmental and Sim-Angus cross cattle. We have found this breed of cattle to be very gentle and docile. There has been virtually no birthing issues. Should one get out of the pasture via an unattended gate, it will always walk the fence and moo until we let it back in with the herd. The calves' birth weights average 78 pounds and they easily reach 600 pounds at 6 months of age. Although our endeavor, by most cattlemen would be considered a "hobby farm, we take our job very seriously. After owning and operating my own manufacturing company for 35 years, we find the farm life and cattle to be soothing to the soul. The photos below just confirm how serene and peaceful it is here.

Here at Double Creek we also raise registered puppies. My wife's kennel was built new in 2000
and is a state of the art facility. We ship puppies all over the U.S. and Canada. Check out her
website at Doublecreek Kennel
We have good, reliable help that affords us the time to over see both endeavors and makes our
"retirement" pastime very pleasant.
We've added some of our favorite photos
as you can see above and to the right. We
hope that they reflect the love and
enjoyment we have of our farm and farm life
here at Double Creek. Our contact with
other farmers through the sales of farm
equipment, registered cattle and registered
puppies has enhanced our farm experience.

Our mission at Built To Last Mfg., Co., is to produce value added alternatives to your farming
programs. Our heavy duty hay racks have really proven to be beneficial in saving hay, repelling
mold and mildew, which would prove to be toxic, over a period of time. This is especially true
with horses who only have one stomach, making them so sensitive to mold and mildew.
We pull our hay racks out of the pasture during the summer months, pressure wash them and
stack them in the barn. They are very stackable and only take up a small space until ready to
drag back out to new feeding areas for the winter months.
We hope you've enjoyed your visit to Double Creek Farm/Built To Last Mfg., Co. and please
contact me if you have any questions.
